3. Delusion
망상
This was said by the Lord.....
"... Delusion is that one thing, bhikkhus. Abandon that and
I guarantee you non-returning."
세존께서 이렇게 말씀하셨다고.... [나는 들었다].
“... 비구들이여! 미망[어리석음; 痴]이 바로 그 한 가지요. 그것을 버리면 내 그대들에게 ‘[이 세상에] 다시 돌아오지 않을 것[不還]’을 보증하오.
Beings confused by delusion
Go to rebirth in a bad bourn.
But having rightly understood delusion
Those with insight abandon it.
By abandoning it they never come
Back to this world again.
미망으로 해서 혼란스러워진 존재[중생]들은
나쁜 곳에 다시 태어나게 되네.
그렇지만 미망[의 본질]을 제대로 이해한
사람들은 지혜[통찰력]로 그것을 버리네.
그것을 버림으로서 그들은 절대로
이 세상에 다시 돌아오지 않네.
