어리석은 자와 사귀는 것은 둑카,
그것은 마치 원수과 살아가는 것과 같으며
지혜로운 사람과 사귀는 것은 즐거움
친척들과 함께 살아감과 갔다.
He who walks in the company of fools suffers a long way;
company with fools, as with an enemy, is always painful;
company with the wise is pleasure, like meeting with kinsfolk.
그러므로 지혜롭고
많이 배웠고 책임감 있고 어질며
결심이 굳은 성자를 따르라.
계행이 서 있는 어진 이를 따라 벗 삼는 것은
마치 달이 별들의 길을 따르는 것과 같나니.
Therefore, one ought to follow the wise, the intelligent,
the learned, the much enduring, the dutiful, the elect;
one ought to follow a good and wise man,
as the moon follows the path of the stars.
