일념 성취를 기뻐하고 세상의 번뇌를 초월한다.
그들은 청정하고, 진리를 깨달은 성자들,
인간은 물론 천상인들까지 존경한다.
Even the gods envy those who are awakened and not forgetful,
who are given to meditation, who are wise,
and who delight in the repose of retirement (from the world).
인간의 몸을 얻는 것도 어렵고
죽어야 하는 자가 사는 것도 어렵고
올바른 가르침을 듣는 것도 어렵고
깨달은 님이 출현하는 것도 어렵다
Difficult (to obtain) is the conception of men,
difficult is the life of mortals, difficult is the hearing of the True Law,
difficult is the birth of the Awakened (the attainment of Buddhahood).
