갈망과 욕망을 제거하고 장애를 다스린 이들,
모든 슬픔과 비탄의 바다를 건넌 이들이다.
바른 대상을 찾아 존경하라.
닙바나를 성취하여 모든 번뇌에서 벗어난 분을 찾아
공경하여 예배 올리는 사람은 한량없는 공덕을 얻나니
거기에 비교될 것은 없다.
He who pays homage to those who deserve homage,
whether the awakened (Buddha) or their disciples,
those who have overcome the host (of evils),
and crossed the flood of sorrow,
he who pays homage to such as have found deliverance
and know no fear, his merit can never be measured by anybody.
