추구 (2)
This was said by the Lord....
"Bhikkhus, there are these three kinds of search..."
세존께서 이렇게 말씀하셨다고.... [나는 들었다].
“비구들이여! 이들 세 종류의 추구가 있소....”
Sensual search, the search for being,
The search for a holy life of one
Who takes his stand upon a view
And holds it tightly as the truth -
These are heapings of defilements.
For a bhikkhu wholly dispassionate
And freed by the destruction of craving,
Searches have been relinquished
And uprooted the standpoint of views.
With the destruction of searches a bhikkhu
Is free from desire and doubt.
어떤 견해에 입각해
그것이 진리라고 굳게 집착하는 사람의
감각적 [쾌락의] 추구, 존재[生]에 대한 추구,
성스러운 삶에 대한 추구 -
이런 것들이 [바로] 더러움[번뇌]의 무더기이네.
욕정을 완전히 버리고
갈애를 소멸하여 자유롭게 된 비구는
추구[하는 마음]이 없어지고
[그릇된] 견해[에 입각한] 관점을 뿌리 뽑아왔네.
추구[하는 마음]을 소멸한 비구는
욕망과 의심이 없네.
