51. Elements
영역
This was said by the Lord....
"Bhikkhus, there are these three elements.
What three? The form element, the formless element,
and the element of cessation. These are the three."
세존께서 이렇게 말씀하셨다고.... [나는 들었다].
“비구들이여! 이들 세 가지 영역이 있소.
세 가지가 무엇일까요? 형체가 있는 [물질적인 존재의] 영역,
형체가 없는 영역 그리고 멸진의 영역이지요.
이것들이 세 가지이지요.”
By fully understanding the form element
Without getting stuck in the formless,
They are released into cessation
And leave Death far behind them.
Having touched with his own person
The deathless element free from clinging,
Having realized the relinquishment of clinging
His taints all gone,
The Fully Enlightened One proclaims
The sorrowless state that is void of stain.
형체가 없는 영역에 빠져들지 않고서
형체가 있는 영역을 온전히 이해함으로 해서
그들은 [번뇌에서] 멸진으로 풀려나고
죽음을 저 멀리 버려 두고 떠나네.
자기 자신과 더불어
집착이 없는 불사(不死)의 경지를 접하고,
그의 때[번뇌]가 [모두] 떠나 버린,
집착의 포기를 체득하였으니
원만하게 깨달으신 분께서는
티끌 하나 없는 슬픔 없는 경지를 [이룩했다고] 선언하시네.
