67. Perfection
완전한 경지에 이름
This was said by the Lord....
"Bhikkhus, there are these three kinds of perfection.
What are the three? Perfection of body,
perfection of speech, and perfection of mind.
These are the three."
세존께서 이렇게 말씀하셨다고.... [나는 들었다].
“비구들이여! 완전한 경지에 이르는 것에 이들 세 종류가 있소.
무엇이 셋일까요? 몸이 완전한 경지에 이르는 것,
말이 완전한 경지에 이르는 것 그리고 마음이 완전한 경지에
이르는 것이오. 이것들이 세 가지이지요.”
Bodily perfect, perfect of speech,
Mentally perfect and taintless;
A sage possessing such perfection
Is called one cleansed of evil.
몸으로 완성에 이르고, 말이 완성의 경지에 이르며
마음으로 완벽해져 때[煩惱]가 없네.
그와 같은 완성의 경지를 갖춘 성인을
죄악을 말끔하게 씻어낸 사람이라 부르네.
