64. Misconduct
악업(惡業; 非行)
This was said by the Lord....
"Bhikkhus, there are these three kinds of misconduct.
What are the three? Misconduct by body,
misconduct by speech, and misconduct by mind.
These are the three."
세존께서 이렇게 말씀하셨다고.... [나는 들었다].
“비구들이여! 이들 세 종류의 악업이 있소.
세 가지가 무엇일까요? 몸으로 [짓는] 악업, 말로 [짓는] 악업
그리고 마음으로 [짓는] 악업이오. 이것들이 세 가지이지요.”
Having performed misconduct
By body, misconduct by speech,
Misconduct by mind, and whatever else
Is reckoned a fault -
Not having done a good deed
And done much that is bad -
When his body perishes
That foolish one is reborn in hell.
몸으로 짓는 악업(惡業),
말로 짓는 악업, 마음으로 짓는 악업,
그리고 그밖에 악행이라고 여겨지는 것들을
저지르고,
선업은 짓지 않고
나쁘다고 하는 것은 많이도 저질렀네.
저 어리석은 사람은 몸이 소멸될 때
지옥에 다시 태어나네.
