63. Time
시간
This was said by the Lord....
"Bhikkhus, these are the three times. What three? Past time, future time, and present time. These,bhikkhus, are the three times."
세존께서 이렇게 말씀하셨다고.... [나는 들었다].
“비구들이여! 이것들이 세 가지 [종류의] 시간이오. 세 가지가 무엇일까요? 과거의 시간, 미래의 시간 그리고 현재의 시간이오. 비구들이여! 이것들이 세 가지 시간이오.”
Perceiving what can be expressed through concepts,
Beings take their stand on what is expressed.
Not fully understanding the expressed,
They come under the bondage of Death.
But by fully understanding what is expressed
One does not misconceive the speaker,
His mind has attained to freedom,
The unsurpassed state of peace.
Understanding what is expressed,
The peaceful one delights in the peaceful state.
Standing on Dhamma, perfect in knowledge,
He freely makes use of concepts
But no more enters into concept's range.
개념[이름]을 통해 표현될 수 있는 것만을 인식하는 존재들은
[겉으로] 표현된 것에 입각해 [고집을] 부리네.
표현된 것도 온전하게 이해하지 못하는
그들은 죽음이라는 속박 아래 들어가네.
그렇지만 표현된 것을 온전하게 이해함으로 해서
말하는 사람을 잘못 이해하지 않네.
그의 마음은 저 비할 데 없이 {뛰어난]
평화의 경지, 자유[涅槃]에 도달했네.
표현된 것을 [제대로] 이해하는
평화로운 사람은 평화의 경지에서 기뻐하네.
진리 법 위에 서고, 지혜를 구족한
그는 개념을 사용하면서도
더 이상 개념의 경계에 들어가지 않네.
