105 Arousing Craving
갈망을 유발함
This was said by the Lord·.
“Bhikkhus, there are four things that arouse craving
whereby the craving that has arisen in a bhikkhu arises.
What are the four? Because of robes, because of
almsfood, because of dwelling place, because of gaining
this or losing that the craving that has arisen in a
bhikkhu arises. These, bhikkhus, are the four things
that arouse craving whereby the craving that has arisen
in a bhikkhu arises."
세존께서 이렇게 말씀하셨다고.... [나는 들었다].
“비구들이여! 갈망을 유발하는 네 가지가 있는데, 그것들 때문에 한 비구에게 발생해온 갈망이 일어나지요. 무엇이 네 가지일까요? 옷 때문에, 탁발 음식 때문에, 머무는 처소 때문에 이것을 얻거나 저것을 잃는 것 때문에, 한 비구에게 발생해온 갈망이 일어나지요. 비구들이여! 이것들이 갈망을 유발하는 네 가지로서 그것들 때문에 한 비구에게 발생해온 갈망이 일어나는 것이오.”
A person companioned by craving
Wanders on the long journey
In this state of being or another
And cannot go beyond samsara.
Having understood the danger thus,
That craving is the origin of suffering,
A bhikkhu should wander mindfully,
Free from craving, without grasping.
갈망의 동반자가 된 사람은
이번 존재나 [今生]또 다른 존재[來生]의 경계에서
긴 여행길을 방황하고
윤회를 초월해 갈 수가 없네.
갈망이 괴로움의 근원이라는
위험을 이와 같이 이해하였으니,
비구는 집착하는 것 없이, 갈망에서 벗어나
마음을 챙기며 만행해야 하네.
