94. Investigating
심사숙고함
This was said by the Lord....
"Bhikkhus, a bhikkhu should so investigate that as
he investigates, his consciousness is not distracted
and diffused externally, and internally is not fixed,
and by not grasping anything he should remain
undisturbed. If his consciousness is not distracted
and diffused externally, and internally is not fixed,
and if by not grasping anything he remains
undisturbed, then there is no coming into
existence of birth, ageing, death, and suffering
in the future."
세존께서 이렇게 말씀하셨다고.... [나는 들었다].
“비구들이여! 비구라면 [다음과 같이] 심사숙고하여야
하지요. 그가 생각을 할 때에는 그의 식별 [작용] 이
밖으로 흐트러지지 않고 안으로 고정[집착]되지 않으며
어느 것에도 집착하지 않음으로서 평온하게 남아 있어
야 하지요. 만약 그의 식별 [작용]이 밖으로 흐트러지지
않고 안으로 고정[집착]되지 않으며, 그 어느 것에도
집착하지 않음으로서 평온하게 남을 수 있다면,
미래에 태어남[生]․늙음[老]․죽음[死]과 괴로움[苦]이
더 이상 생길 일이 없지요.”
When a bhikkhu has abandoned
The seven ties and cut the cord,
His wandering on in births is finished:
There is no renewal of being for him.
비구가 일곱 가지 속박을 버리고
끈을 끊을 때
거듭 태어남[輪廻]에서 헤매는 것이 끝나니:
그에게 존재가 되풀이되는 일이 하나도 없네.
